But what are the best solar patio lights for your home? The best ones are those that meet your lighting needs and match your homes landscaping design, which can vary from person to person. And it also depends on what you want to accomplish with your lights. If you want to add strong security lights to protect your home they might not be right for you, but if you just want add lighting that will increase your homes curb appeal, without the hassle of dealing with digging in your yard to lay power cables, they can be just what you’re looking for.

Another factor that effects what types of solar lights are best for your home is where do you live? If you live in an area of the country such as Texas that receives an average of ten hours of sunlight a day during the year you won’t need to get the most efficient lights they make. But if you live in Pennsylvania, you’ll need to buy more efficient lights to get the same amount of light because they only receive an average of seven hours of sunlight a day during the year. Most manufacturers have the light output of each of their lighting systems labeled on the box so you can compare which type you’ll need before you buy them. If you’re doing research online you can always find a solar map for the area that you live in and it will show you what the average daily amount of sunlight is for your area.

Just remember that when trying to find the best solar lights you should do plenty of research (online and at your local retail lighting stores) so you find the best ones for your home.
